The Story:

I am the product of a British mother, a Beverly Hills father, and a southern upbringing. Because of this, I have been known to say “tom-ah-toes”, “like”, and “y’all”. I also suffer from a wicked case of wanderlust, made worse by the fact that wandering is a good way to stir up stories. When I’m not haunting Paris streets or trudging up English hillsides, I’m usually tucked in the corner of a coffee shop, dreaming up monsters.

These days, when someone asks me what I do when I’m NOT writing, I just kind of laugh nervously. But in truth, on the odd occasion I’m not typing away, I’m probably baking cookies, or watching BBC shows, or wandering. (See how we came full circle, there?)

    Hi Victoria!
    What a wonderful, fun bio.
I can totally relate to the bookstore job. I even set aside books to be bought on payday.
    🙂
I’m looking forward to THE NEAR WITCH.
    All the best,
    Rob
PS – Holy Root! She’s like an uber-famous agent! Congratultions!

    Hi Victoria,
Sorry for leaving this here, but I could not find your email.
I also have a book coming out nationally this fall. I thought we “Witchy Writers” could get together and do some cross promotion, since we all write about witches.
Let me know if you’re interested,
    Amber

  4. This is the coolest bio I have ever read. I would do the same if I worked at a bookshop, I can never leave without having either bought something, or having spent all my money. I changed my major at uni several times too, which had its own set of problems… But all these experiences just make you more interesting.

  5. I love to watch your vlogs. Just your personality has pumped me up for your book. I just purchased it and look forward to reading it!

As a newly published writer, has anything changed for you? Are you loving it or hating it yet?

    I’m super excited!

  6. This is the code for the like button for your book on facebook… I am trying to build it up for you. Because it is 5 in the morning, I have not been to bed, and I did not find your book when I wanted to like it on facebook… it was very well hidden under products/services, not entertainment>book/magazines>book. Soooo I made it a page. Also, check out Thebookvortex.com, my friend Hannah is a YA writer and just made this website. It is a little rocky right now but I think it will be good.

  7. […] and blogger Victoria Schwab had provided an amazingly insightful outlook on writer’s block.  I found this entry on […]
