Wednesday is scared of bread mold and shadow people

Well that title pretty much sums it up. This week on the YA Rebels we’re discussing what scares us.

I AM TERRIFIED OF MOLD.

ALSO SHADOW PEOPLE.

AND LET’S ADD BATHROOMS AT MIDNIGHT.

Yeah.

I went there.

I am so with you on the bathroom thing. I grew up with the whole bloody mary scare thing and to this day, I get scared when I go into a bathroom and the light isn’t on. No matter the time of day, etc, if the light is off, I’m scared and looking for it. Amazing how those things can stay with us throughout the years!

Also, your Signs mention reminded me of Alfred Hitchcock. He used to say “There is no terror in the bang, only in the anticipation of it.”

I don’t mess with the bathroom later at night!, or ever really in the dark lol. Things do stay with us. They become ingrained. And YES, Hitchcock put it perfectly.

So I always leave the light in the bathroom on or have a night light on in there, so I don’t walk in there in the dark. I always hated ghost stories at sleepovers, I was always the one flipping through a book to distract myself when they were being told.

My Dad is banned from telling his Bell Witch stories when I’m near, unless he wants to stay up all night talking to me.
I’m glad to see that someone else gets freaked out

Seriously, I scare way too easily. I’m the one who tries to glance away in scary movies, or tune out the ghost stories around the fire or under the sheet. You are not alone!!
