Wednesday Puts the Pieces Together.

This week on the YA Rebels we’re talking about how we get our ideas, and for some reason I kind skirted that question and instead talked about what I do with my little ideas once I have them :p

You should watch, because I actually committed to an analogy for once!

If you can’t watch, click HERE!

So my question to you all is, how do YOUR stories start?

I love the analogy! Sometimes, chunks of pieces do come to me, intact. But often, they’d fit together incorrectly and I’d have to slowly undo them to find the pieces that work. And the thing about being afraid that there’s a piece missing and the puzzle will never be complete? YES.

I get puzzle pieces too! I have not yet figured out how to put them together.

I’m so glad it resonated! I’ve expanded the analogy to include puzzle pieces that DON’T belong in your puzzle box, all mixed up in there, because that’s even more accurate :ppp

I haven’t either! I just fiddle with it until I get a small chunk. And then a slightly bigger one. And then a couple pieces over THERE, etc. etc.
